There are many new features of the JHS Alumni Website! If you have questions about anything, please email me. I can add your question to the FAQ database.
JHS News
- Latest News
- Can be found on the JHS News page. This page lists all articles that were listed in the Post Journal announcement versus just the headline. If you are interested in just the “latest headlines”, please subscribe to feeds or use the search functionality.
- News Archives
- Subscribe to Feeds
- If you just want to read the latest news from the JHS website, this new feature of the website is great if you utilize a Yahoo or Google page. It allows alumni to subscribe to the JHS News and it will be updated live on your homepage, so you only need to visit the website if there is something you want to read! Click on “Entries RSS” at the top left of the website.

- Search Posts
- A quick feature that can be used to find news articles is the search function, found at the top right-hand corner of the website. Locate the box and simply type in the last name of the person you are looking for to find any articles that have been published.
Alumni Contact Information
- The alumni address book can be found in two locations on the website. Every page on the website contains a right-hand sidebar. Under the listing “JHS Information” click on the “Address Book” and on the Information page under “Address Book”.
Photo Albums
Share your photos!
- Flickr
- The JHS website developers will utilize Flickr to publish some photos of JHS Alumni. It will not, however, be used for individual family collections. We will continue to utilize Shutterfly collections for family albums. Flickr is a great tool for quick uploading and sharing with the public. (developer friendly)
- Shutterfly
- Families that would like to share pictures of their weddings or children should “create a collection” in Shutterfly. This is a great feature for showing pictures of your children. A collection allows the family to continue uploading new photo albums and displaying the most recent albums, while not losing the younger (baby) photos of their children at the same time. Please email me if you have any questions about this feature.
Guestbook
- We are still utilizing the same guestbook as the old JHS website. This may change in the near future, but I will wait until I find a better option. The guestbook can be found on the “Information” page of the website under “Guestbook“.
The Grapevine
- This feature hasn’t changed from our old site. Click on the “Information” page of the website and “The Grapevine” to view. This tool is for JHS alumni to communicate any/all information in an informal fashion. I will continue to utilize this feature until I find something better!
Guest Map
- We continue to use the “alumni map” from the old site. Please post your dot on the map!
